In three seasons at Brigham Young University, Rachel McCarthy has solidified herself as one of college soccer’s premier “super subs”. In three seasons from 2019-21, she has made 59 appearances – all but five as a substitute – during which she has tallied 14 goals and 14 assists.
Her best season thus far was her sophomore campaign, when her nine goals and seven assists led to her being named a West Coast Conference First Team selection. She was a pivotal piece for the Cougars this past season, as they reached the Final Four of the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament.
