Indy Eleven today confirmed details surrounding the 2022 preseason calendar that will prepare the Boys in Blue for their ninth season in Indianapolis – and fifth in the USL Championship.
The members of Indiana’s Team are set to officially report to their Grand Park training center home next Tuesday, February 1, giving the squad five weeks and change to get ready for its 2022 USL Championship regular season opener on Saturday, March 12, at Loudoun United FC (6:00 p.m. ET, ESPN+).
“This preseason has been crafted to give our players and staff the time necessary to build our team, our identity, and our winning culture,” explained Indy Eleven Head Coach Mark Lowry. “Full credit goes to the entire team side of the organization for compiling a competitive collection of friendlies that will have our squad ready for when the games start counting on March 12.”
The preseason slate includes eight exhibition contests in total, including four against Major League Soccer clubs or their MLS NEXT PRO affiliated sides, a pair of fellow USL Championship Eastern Conference foes, and two local collegiate outfits:
