Lacognato played and started 65 matches in four seasons at IUPUI. The standout forward registered 16 goals, including seven match-winners, and added 10 assists. As a senior in 2022, she was named first-team All-Horizon League and first-team all-region, as well as CSC Academic All-District. During her opening campaign, Lacognato was name the Horizon League Freshman of the Year and a second-team all-conference honoree.
Lacognato prepped four seasons at Penn High School where she was a two-time All-State first-team selection and named Northern Indiana Conference North MVP and United Soccer Coaches All-Central Region as a senior. In 2018, she was an Indiana Player of the Year finalist and was a two-time first-team all-district and first-team all-conference pick. Lacognato helped Penn to a 2A State title as a sophomore and a 3A State title as a junior, tallying 50 straight wins at one point.
