Q: Why is the club returning to Carroll Stadium?
A: The short answer … much greater scheduling availability and flexibility.
The long answer … after continued discussions with Lucas Oil Stadium, it became clear that there were not enough potential available dates to host a season at the venue, especially pivotal weekend dates that result in a schedule most conducive to success both on and off the field.
The move back to Carroll Stadium allows not only greater control of our scheduling, but also gameday atmosphere, in-stadium promotions, partnership activations, promotional signage, and more items that make Eleven matches a unique experience in Indy’s sports and entertainment scene.
Q: Did you seek to use any other venues instead of going back to Carroll Stadium?
A: The lack of venues located in Marion County that meet venue capacity standards for USL Championship clubs made the list of options limited.
Based on our familiarity with the stadium and consistent feedback from fans since our first tenure at the venue, it was decided that Carroll Stadium was indeed the primary avenue to explore in regards to finding a temporary home for our upcoming seasons.
Q: What will be different this time around at Carroll Stadium?
A: Some things will look familiar from our first tenure and some things will be different than our first go-around at “The Mike” – and the upcoming months will provide many of the details as we continue to work with IUPUI and Indiana University on our return to the venue.
What we do know is that our focus will be on improving our gameday experience for all fans and incorporating their feedback to the extent possible in order to make that a reality.
Q: Is there a schedule for home games in 2021 available?
A: The USL Championship announced in late January that the 2021 USL Season would contain a 32-game regular season schedule for each club, beginning with a “floating start date” for teams between April 24-May 15 and concluding during the final week of October.
A full 2021 season schedule – including a listing of our 16 home games – is expected to be released by the USL Championship by early March.
Q: When will tickets become available?
Existing Season Ticket Members will receive information on how to renew their seats for 2021 via email tin the coming days. This correspondence will include updates on seat locations, pricing changes (where applicable), and much more.

Q: What public safety guidelines and protocols will be in place?
A: As we did for games at Lucas Oil Stadium, Indy Eleven will work with our venue partner at IUPUI and local, regional, and national health experts to formulate a best-in-class safety plan that will create the safest possible environment on gamedays for fans, players, and staff.
As policies related to limiting the spread of COVID 19 continue to evolve over the winter and spring months, Indy Eleven will ensure all gameday safety policies are in accordance with local, state, and national laws and regulations. After taking all such guidelines into account, our 2021 Safety Plan for gamedays at Carroll Stadium will be unveiled well in advance of the start of the season in late April or early May.
Q: Will the parking and tailgating set up be the same as previously at Carroll Stadium?
A: While we expect parking and tailgating to be very similar to our first tenure at Carroll Stadium, details have yet to be finalized. When they are ready, they will be included on the Parking and Tailgate pages at indyeleven.com.
