INDIANAPOLIS (Thursday, August 17, 2023) – Indy Eleven today welcomed Evansville Youth Soccer League as the newest club to join the Indy Eleven Youth Soccer Program.
The Indy Eleven Youth Soccer Program is designed to increase accessibility to soccer in communities and encourage players, coaches, referees and parents to grow their passion for the sport by supporting the recreational soccer programs at member clubs.
Evansville Youth Soccer League based out of Evansville, Indiana, is now the 18th club in partnership with Indy Eleven’s grassroots initiative, which supports more than 16,000 youth soccer players across Indiana and Illinois.
“With the addition of the Evansville Youth Soccer League, Indy Eleven is proud to continue to grow its Youth Soccer Program,” said Greg Stremlaw, Indy Eleven President and Chief Executive Officer. “With this new partnership, Indy Eleven and Evansville are focused on teaming up as part of the grassroots initiative to grow soccer in communities in Indiana and beyond.”
Evansville Youth Soccer League is a recreational soccer league that strives to make its community a better place for all. Every league participant has the opportunity to play and better learn the game of soccer. Evansville Youth Soccer League strives to build productive relationships with its participants and maintain a family-friendly environment.
“When Indy Eleven reached out to see how they could help support local soccer at the Grassroots level, we were speechless,” said Thomas Carter with Evansville Youth Soccer League. “To have a USL organization recognize the value a program like ours provides to our community is amazing. We like to think we’re doing the right things in our little corner of Southern Indiana to support and grow the love of the game for everyone around us. And, for a professional soccer organization like Indy Eleven to notice and want to help is a huge deal for our players and their parents. We’re excited for the partnership and can’t wait to see what we can do with the support from our friends at Indy Eleven.”
